I’m Ready To Make Sacrifices In Support Of Fubara’s Decision For Peace, The Peace Is Worth It– Ehie

According to a report by Punch on Monday, March 30, 2026, Edison Ehie has denied being part of a 2027 governorship plan being circulated on a poster linking him with Dakuku Peterside under the African Democratic Congress.

...er suggested that Peterside would run for governor while Ehie would be his deputy, with a message about “freeing Rivers State.” However, Ehie described the poster as false and misleading, saying it was created to confuse people and cause division.

He made it clear that he remains a loyal member of the All Progressives Congress and strongly supports the current governor, Siminalayi Fubara. According to him, his focus is on maintaining peace and supporting the governor’s decisions for the development of Rivers State.

Ehie stressed that he is willing to make personal sacrifices to ensure stability in the state, adding that peace is more important than political ambition. He also warned that the use of his name without permission is a form of political deception.

He encouraged the public to ignore the poster and not be distracted by false information. He believes Rivers’ people are aware and cannot be easily misled by propaganda.

Ehie concluded by reaffirming his commitment to unity, good governance, and the continued progress of Rivers State under Fubara’s leadership.

In his words, “I am ready to make every necessary sacrifice in support of the governor’s decision for the peace and development of our state. The peace is worth it.”
