A Nigerian woman has sparked reactions online after expressing frustration over the condition of her kitchen, which she claims is constantly left dirty by her sisters-in-law.
In a video shared on X (formerly Twitter), the woman showed the messy kitchen filled with unwashed plates and scattered items, explaining that she woke up to the situation while trying to prepare food for her children.
According to her, she lives in the same house with two grown-up sisters-in-law who allegedly leave the kitchen untidy for her to clean almost every morning.
In her words, she said:
“Actually, I’m not the type to come on social media to rant about my life, but this morning I just felt like I’ve had enough already. I’m tired, I’m exhausted,” she said while displaying the state of the kitchen.
She explained that despite having two children to care for, she often finds herself responsible for cleaning up the entire kitchen before she can cook.
The woman added that whenever she complains about the situation, she is often accused of talking too much or being too harsh.
“I wash everything all in the name of protecting my home and my marriage, but I’m tired. I don’t think I can continue like this anymore,” she added.
The video has since generated mixed reactions online, with many social media users discussing the challenges that sometimes come with living in extended family homes.
