A man has shared a touching experience from a church service, recounting how he discreetly helped a lady who unexpectedly started her menstrual period without realising her skirt had been stained.
According to the man, he noticed the stain when the lady stood up to join others for the offertory.
He said he tried to alert her by calling her attention and pointing towards her skirt, but she misunderstood his gesture, smiled, winked at him and proceeded to dance towards the altar.
He explained that although some members of the congregation appeared to notice what had happened, no one informed the lady.
To prevent further embarrassment, he placed his handkerchief on the seat she had occupied to cover the stain she had unknowingly left behind.
Lady discovers what happened
While recounting the incident, the man said, “I placed my handkerchief on the seat to cover the stain she had left behind. When she returned, I removed the handkerchief and showed her the stain on both the seat and her skirt. She was completely shocked and embarrassed.” He said the lady immediately realised what had happened.
He added that she asked to use his handkerchief to clean herself up before leaving the area.
Grateful message melts hearts
Sharing what happened afterwards, the man said, “Later, she got my phone number from another church member and has sent me several thank-you messages since yesterday. Her last message said, ‘Thank you for protecting my dignity yesterday. I’ll never forget what you did for me.’”
The story has since attracted reactions online, with many social media users praising the man’s thoughtful actions and urging people to show empathy and kindness to others in similar situations.
