If PDP Skips 2027 And Waits Another Four Years We Will Have Lost Much Political Ground-Ohuabunwa

In a recent interview shared by Channels Television, former presidential aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party, Samuel Ohuabunwa, warned that the party risks suffering major political setbacks if it fails to participate effectively in the 2027 general elections.

Speaking during the programme, Ohuabunwa expressed concern over the ongoing leadership crisis and internal disputes within the opposition party. He noted that prolonged legal battles and divisions among party leaders could weaken the PDP’s ability to prepare adequately for the next election cycle.

According to him, the party must urgently resolve its internal disagreements and focus on rebuilding its structure in order to remain relevant in Nigeria’s political landscape. He stressed that the continued conflict among party stakeholders could discourage members and push many politicians to defect to other political platforms.

Ohuabunwa explained that political parties grow stronger through consistent participation in elections and sustained grassroots engagement. Without this, he said, the PDP could gradually lose its influence across states and constituencies.

“If PDP does not participate in 2027 and waits for the next four years we will have lost so much ground,” he said.

He further advised party members to place the survival of the party above personal ambitions and work collectively toward reconciliation. According to him, unity and strategic planning remain essential for the PDP to regain strength and provide credible opposition in the country’s democratic system.

Ohuabunwa concluded that the party still has an opportunity to rebuild if its leaders act quickly and prioritize cooperation over prolonged disputes.See_More…
