The Ibadan and District Society of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) will, on Saturday, July 11, hold the investiture of its 26th Chairman, Mrs Salome Olabimpe Ajayi, FCA, alongside the inauguration of the 2026/2027 Executive Committee.
The investiture ceremony, scheduled to take place at the Jogor Centre, Liberty Road, Ibadan, beginning at 11:00 am, is part of activities marking the 60th anniversary of ICAN, which was established in 1965.
Mrs Ajayi will formally assume leadership of the district society during the event.
The Ibadan and District Society, known as the “Trailblazer District,” is expected to host members of the accounting profession, business leaders, government officials, captains of industry, and other guests.

According to the communication made available to Tribune Online, the 62nd President of ICAN, Hajia Queensley Sofuratu Seghosime, FCA, will be attending alongside ICAN Board Members to inaugurate the Chairman of the ICAN Ibadan and District with her executive team, who will steer the affairs of the district for the 2026/2027 service year
The event is expected to provide an opportunity for stakeholders to reflect on the role of the accounting profession in promoting transparency, accountability, and professional excellence while setting the agenda for the district under the incoming leadership.
The Ibadan and District Society is one of ICAN’s district societies, serving chartered accountants and advancing the institute’s professional objectives through capacity building, advocacy, and ethical practice.
