A young man has left social media users stunned after sharing shocking response he received from a lady he asked to be his girlfriend.
He Thought the Worst Would Be a ‘No’
According to the man, he had developed strong feelings for his female friend and decided to express them, expecting that the worst she could say would simply be “no.”
But instead of a polite rejection, he got a message that tore straight through his confidence.
“You Really Are Confident, But Not in a Good Way”
The lady’s reply quickly went viral after the man posted screenshots online.
In her message, she not only rejected his proposal but also mocked his appearance and self-esteem.
She wrote: “I didn’t think you’d be delusional enough to even think about it, not to talk of asking me. What part of our conversations made you believe you had the right to ask me that question? You want me to be your girlfriend? Boy, please.
You really are confident — and not in the ‘wow’ way, but in the ‘oh my God, does he not own a mirror?’ way. What makes you think I’d lower my standards and stoop to the level of someone like you?
You want me to be your girlfriend when you can’t even manage yourself? It’s such a pity that you mistook my niceness for a green flag. I’d rather set myself on fire and roast marshmallows off the flames than settle for you.
