A young lady has left social media users in shock and tears after sharing the heartbreaking moment she lost her mother while they were returning home.
The heartbreaking incident, which occurred unexpectedly, has sparked widespread empathy and condolences online.
Mother Reportedly Healthy Before Tragedy
In a viral TikTok video shared by @eastside_goddess01, the lady recounted that her mother seemed perfectly healthy on the day of the outing.
The mother and daughter had gone to visit a friend, unaware that it would be their final time together.
Tragic Moment on the Way Home
The lady explained that while traveling home in a keke, her mother rested her head on her shoulder.
Believing her mother was merely sleeping, she did not suspect anything was wrong.
Minutes later, she discovered her mother was no longer breathing, noticing food she had eaten earlier coming out of her nose and mouth.
Narrating the traumatic moment, she said:
“U think you can hurt me? On the 25th August 2019… I went with my mum to visit her friend, and she was healthy and sound. On our way home inside keke, my mum lay her head on my shoulder. I thought she was sleeping, not knowing she’s dead. Like 5 mins later I turned to wake her, I saw the rice she ate there coming out from her nose and mouth and also noticed she was not breathing. Dats when I started shouting, but it was late already. I miss you so much mum.”
In the comments, she admitted the experience left her so traumatized.
