Bishop David Abioye of Conquerors Global Assembly has revealed the moment he learned his wife had tested positive for HIV during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, sharing how faith and determination played a crucial role in her eventual healing.

Bishop Abioye refuses to accept diagnosis

Speaking during a Sunday live service focused on healing, the bishop recounted how he immediately requested a second test upon hearing the news.

I refused to accept it and asked for another check,” Bishop Abioye said.

How scripture guided the healing

Guided by scriptural revelation, he prayed fervently for his wife’s wellbeing.

By the time they re-examined her, there was nothing. God’s word is powerful,” he added, stressing that healing often requires both faith and action.

He further explained that confronting illness is not a passive process. “Healing is not for gentlemen,” he stated. “You don’t just wait for sickness to go; you actively fight it through faith and prayer.”

Marriage and faith through adversity

Bishop Abioye encouraged his congregation to trust in God’s power, even in seemingly hopeless situations, noting that miracles often come when one refuses to surrender to fear.

The bishop also shared that this experience strengthened his marriage, highlighting the importance of mutual faith and support between spouses during trying times.

This trial brought us closer and reminded us that God is the ultimate healer and protector,” he said.
