A Nigerian lady has gone viral online after returning from the United Kingdom (UK) to surprise her longtime boyfriend, a roadside mechanic who sponsored her education abroad.
The emotional reunion, captured in a viral TikTok video, has sparked mixed reactions on social media.
Mechanic Sponsored Her Master’s Degree
According to TikTok creator Theo Ayoms, who helped arrange the reunion, the lady identified as Ngozi had travelled to the UK for her master’s programme with full financial support from her boyfriend, Segun, a hardworking roadside mechanic.
Segun explained that the programme was supposed to last a little over a year.
Years of Silence
While speaking with Theo, Segun said he was shocked when communication with Ngozi suddenly went cold.
One year abroad slowly turned into three, and he had no clear explanation for her silence.
Despite the long break in communication, Segun said he never gave up hope that she would return.
