Nollywood actress Kate Henshaw shared a personal and powerful message about health and ageing as she led the official launch of Efamol Evening Primrose Oil (EPO) in Lagos.
At the 2026 Continuing Education Conference of the Association of Community Pharmacists of Nigeria, Henshaw shared her experience with menopause.
She encouraged women to learn more about their bodies and focus on internal wellness instead of just outward appearances.
“I never knew the symptoms and effects of menopause until just after age 50.
“What I was feeling in my body, I later realised, were menopausal symptoms,” she said during a panel session.
She explained that these changes are natural, but managing them takes awareness, discipline, and the right support.
Her comments helped shape the event, which brought together pharmacists, healthcare professionals, and wellness advocates to encourage a move toward science-based, preventive healthcare in Nigeria.
