“I humbly seek forgiveness from all I may have wronged”, says Bauchi Gov on 67th birthday

Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, chose a tone of humility and reflection rather than celebration as he marked his 67th birthday on Monday, seeking forgiveness from anyone he may have wronged during his years of public service.

In a heartfelt message posted on his official Facebook page, the governor expressed gratitude to God for His mercy and guidance throughout his journey in leadership, describing the day as one for quiet thanksgiving and introspection rather than elaborate festivities.

“I seek forgiveness from anyone i’ve wronged”

Governor Mohammed said his birthday was an opportunity for self-reflection and reconciliation. “I humbly seek forgiveness from anyone I may have wronged, knowingly or unknowingly,”

he wrote, adding that he remains committed to leading Bauchi State with fairness, equity, and a strong sense of responsibility.

The governor noted that leadership comes with challenges and tough decisions, and acknowledged that no one is perfect.

He emphasized that his intention has always been to serve the people of Bauchi sincerely and transparently.

Renewed commitment to development and service

While reflecting on his journey so far, Mohammed reaffirmed his resolve to continue expanding access to education, healthcare, and infrastructure across the state. “My resolve remains unshaken: I will leave Bauchi better than I met it,”

he said, noting that his administration had already exceeded expectations in several key sectors.

He also expressed appreciation for the goodwill messages and prayers he received from family, friends, and citizens, describing their continued support as “deeply humbling.”
