A Nigerian woman and relationship expert on Facebook, Adesola Faridah, has expressed shock after discovering that her husband secretly married popular Facebook vendor, Eniola Sisialagbo, over the weekend.
The heartbroken first wife revealed that she had no prior knowledge of the wedding and only found out after friends reached out to her with photos circulating online.
Both her husband and his new wife had allegedly blocked her on Facebook to keep her from seeing the posts.
According to Faridah, she had even spoken with her husband on the day of the wedding, yet he never mentioned anything about his plans.
“I Don’t Think I Deserved This” – Faridah Breaks Down
In an emotional post on Facebook, Faridah poured out her pain:
“She derived joy in ruining a fellow woman happiness, both of them blocked me on social media so that I won’t see rubbish they were doing online. Husband never told me he is getting married to her, it was on social media I got to know. Even on their Nikaah, husband call me in the morning he didn’t tell me he is getting married on that day, so I don’t understand this your post oooo. If a man that we have been together for about 5 years can’t treat me like this, he doesn’t worth to be my husband, Sisi Alagbo should have him.”
In another post, she added:
“Anyways I am not surprised that’s human being for you, I don’t have anyone to fight for me but I have God. Did I even know her, did her husband introduce her to me? I got to know on social media that my husband and Sisi Alagbo were getting married. I pray I heal from this pain, the pain is just too much to bear, I don’t think I deserved this from him. ALMIGHTY ALLAH HAVE MERCY ON MY SOUL.”
Old Advice Resurfaces
Adesola Faridah is known for giving relationship advice on Facebook. In 2022, she went viral for her post titled “12 Rules to Keep Your Husband Forever.” She wrote:
- Never pretend to be sick for the purpose of denying your husband sex. You must give it to him. Sex is very important to men.
- Never raise your voice for any reason against your husband. It’s a sign of disrespect.
- Don’t expose your husband’s weaknesses to your family and friends. It will bounce back on you.
- Never use attitudes and moods to communicate to your husband, you never know how your husband will interpret them.
- Never compare your husband to other men, you’ve no idea what their life is all about. If you attack his ego, his love for you will diminish.
- Never forget that your husband married you, not your maid, do your duties.
- Never assign anyone to give attention to your husband, people may do everything else but your husband is your own responsibility.
- Never blame your husband if he comes back home empty handed. Rather encourage him.
- Don’t associate with women who have a wrong mental attitude about marriage.
- Don’t be too judgemental to your husband. No man wants a nagging wife.
- Never allow your friends to be too close to your husband.
- Never challenge your husband in front of the children. Wise women don’t do that.
