Seyi Tinubu, the son of Nigeria’s president, has urged Nigerians to remain hopeful about his father’s leadership.
In a video that has gone viral on social media, Seyi Tinubu appealed to citizens to keep faith in the administration of his father, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
He expressed confidence that the president would not disappoint Nigerians, insisting that the leader many people have been waiting for is already in office.
“I want to say thank you for the faith you have in our president, and I guarantee you President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu will not fail.

Mixed reactions from Nigerians
The video has triggered different reactions from members of the public on social media.
A user identified as Vindex expressed support for the president, writing:
“God bless and keep the president of the federal republic of Nigeria. No man born of a woman can stop his re-election.”
Another user, Unyime Edet, questioned Seyi’s role in speaking on national matters. He wrote:
“On what capacity is he speaking? Does the constitution recognizes him or his office? We are just funny in this country wahlai.”
Khone suggested that Seyi could follow his father’s political path. He commented:
“The next governor of Lagos. Pikin wey dey follow him papa footsteps. Tell our Anambra messiah to show us his rainbow son.”
Andrew also criticised the video, stating:
“So this one now na speech abi Seyi Tinubu? Why can’t you just coordinates yourself stand like human being and give us a complete human being speech?
And which hope are you even talking about? Seyi you should be giving that same hope to your father that you said we keep coming for so. failed father and son olodo. Nothing dey this guy head I swear.”
Another commenter, Akin, said:
“The cry of a son is not same as the cry of the suffering masses. We have no faith in his daddy not his presidency. A leader who can’t implement capital component of a Nation’s budgets is a failure. What has he done with subsidies savings and loans borrowed. Tinubu must go.”

“I wish the president himself will be this hopeful. In every indices, he has failed woefully. If I were his son, I will be ashamed of his performance. Some of us expected so much from this president but have been let down. The unfortunate thing is that he doesn’t seem to care.”
