Social media activist VeryDarkMan has reacted strongly to human rights activist Omoyele Sowore’s promise to secure the release of businessman BLord, who was reportedly remanded at Kuje Correctional Centre following allegations of defamation.
VDM had earlier announced that BLord was arrested and would be remanded for 26 days for allegedly defaming his character. Sowore, however, took to social media to pledge that he would ensure BLord’s release.
Reacting to this development, VDM criticized Sowore’s involvement while detailing what he claims BLord did to provoke the legal issues.
“Omoyele Sowore do that thing wey you won do, and if them come born you well, that thing wey your mind dey tell you say you be, that you will discontinue the case, I won know who you be. But the one I want to tell you, if them born you well, do that thing you have on your mind. If not, that you’re m@d.
On the 21st of January, BLord posted my picture that I will be coming to Onitsha, wore me cloth and put Blunt Gadget to advertise his business,” he said.
VDM further alleged that BLord forged a flight ticket to make people believe they were on good terms and even created a video suggesting as much.
“On January 22, he posted that I had approved Billpoint as the number one app for local and international flights. He also created a billboard using my photo and claimed he paid me ₦500 million to be his ambassador — defrauding people with my name,” he added.
VDM emphasized that BLord’s alleged actions misrepresented him publicly and defrauded unsuspecting individuals.
He reiterated that all claims of payments or endorsements in his name are false, while issuing a stern warning to Sowore to refrain from the case.
