Reality TV star Terseer Kidd Waya, popularly known as Kiddwaya, has stirred reactions after revealing why he avoids dating broke women.
The billionaire’s son, who gained fame from Big Brother Naija, made the statement during an episode of the Off The Record podcast.
According to him, women who come from humble backgrounds often start out appreciative and respectful but later develop a sense of entitlement once they adjust to his lifestyle.
Kiddwaya said that at first, everything feels exciting and new to them, but after a while, they begin to compare themselves to others.
He explained that the constant comparison leads to unrealistic expectations, saying: “They want the same bags, the same trips, and soon what was once special becomes expected. The entitlement sets in, and sometimes it turns into rudeness.”
Character and values over wealth or status
In a separate episode of the same podcast, Kiddwaya shared his views on what truly matters to him in a relationship.
He stated that character, values, and respect mean more to him than a person’s social class or financial background.
The reality star said he doesn’t judge people based on their background or family status, but on how they treat others. “Just be nice, have good energy, and stay grounded,” he said, noting that kindness and humility are qualities he finds attractive.
He added that genuine respect is not determined by social status, explaining: “The way you speak to a waiter or anyone who’s not on your level says everything about you. Respect should never depend on wealth.”
‘I just want someone who matches my energy’
Kiddwaya also gave a glimpse into what kind of partner suits his lifestyle. For him, it’s all about energy, adventure, and emotional maturity.
He said he values a woman who can keep up with his spontaneous personality and still remain grounded.
“I could wake up and say, ‘Babe, we’re going to Jamaica tomorrow,’ and I want her to say, ‘Let’s go,’” he revealed. “I like someone who can match my energy and enjoy the moment.”
Despite being from a wealthy background, Kiddwaya maintained that he doesn’t prioritise materialism in love.
Instead, he wants a partner who believes in something higher, adding: “You have to believe in God. It doesn’t have to be tied to religion, but there must be a belief in something greater than us.”
