Nigerian singer and songwriter Aituaje Iruobe, widely known as Waje, has confirmed that she is engaged.
She made the revelation during a brief chat with Hip TV, surprising many fans who did not expect the announcement.

Waje, a 45-year-old single mother, had earlier sparked online debate after saying she would not date anyone younger than her.
She also stressed that she does not want to settle down with a man who is not successful.
During a recent appearance on the Honest Bunch podcast, the singer explained why she holds such views.
Waje said her age guides her decisions and she cannot “build with a man” at this stage in her life.
“I can’t marry a man who is not successful. I am not in my 20s, so we can’t build together. A man leads by selling aspiration to me. I have to aspire to see him lead,” she said.
