“How someone brought poisoned food for us on New Year’s Day” – RCCG Mummy G.O. recounts

Pastor (Mrs) Folu Adeboye, wife of the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has recounted a terrifying experience that almost turned deadly for her family on New Year’s Day.

The respected matriarch, fondly called Mummy G.O., shared the chilling incident during a recent church service, explaining how a seemingly ordinary food gift brought to their home could have ended in tragedy.

A Strange Food Gift on New Year’s Day

According to Pastor Folu Adeboye, the incident occurred on January 1st, when family members and friends had gathered at their residence to celebrate the start of the year.

She revealed that someone had brought food to the house, but the moment she saw it in the kitchen, she felt an unusual disturbance in her spirit.

Someone brought poisoned food to our house on New Year’s Day when many people were around to celebrate with us. The moment I saw the food in the kitchen, my spirit was troubled, and I knew there was something wrong,” she said.

Divine Warning That Saved Lives

Acting on what she described as a divine warning, Mummy G.O. immediately instructed that the food should not be served to anyone. Instead, she asked that it be given to their dog.

Moments later, her suspicion was confirmed.

“I told them to give the food to the dog. An hour later, the gateman came to tell me that the dog had died,” she recounted.

“It Could Have Been a Disaster” — Pastor Folu Gives Thanks

The cleric expressed deep gratitude to God for the spirit of discernment that saved her family.

She urged Christians to remain alert to spiritual warnings and never ignore their inner voice of caution, no matter how ordinary a situation might appear.

“It could have been a disaster if anyone had eaten that food. We must always listen to God’s warnings,” she said.
