Nigerian rapper Blaqbonez has disclosed that a lady was behind his fallout with fellow rapper Odumodublvck
The rapper made this known while speaking on Nevon Podcast, where he admitted that he had been intimate with a lady who was with Odumodublvck, adding that he had no idea they were together when he joined ‘the boat.’
According to him, after she sent him a message saying she could no longer continue their friendship, he felt the message was “performative” and believed she was trying to make it appear as though he was the one holding on to the relationship.
He eventually asked her directly: “Who are you dating?” It was then he discovered she was dating Odumodublvck.
Blaqbonez said he chose to respect their relationship and walk away, telling her: “You guys won’t hear from me again. I will respect everything that you guys have. Peace.”
However, he said the situation escalated when Odumodublvck contacted him shortly after their call and questioned whether he had been intimating with the woman.
In his words: “The matter between us involves a lady. Somehow, some lies were told, and things escalated. The lady and I had a thing in the past. It started in 2023. We both met a lady at the same place and at the same time, and we were both interested in her. The lady and I had a non-exclusive relationship for a year; we had no label.
“After a year, she said she wanted us to go our separate ways, but she continued calling me. I told her we had to set boundaries. At the time, I was with her, I didn’t know if she was also with Odumodublvck because we didn’t discuss that since we weren’t in a proper relationship.
“Then, after a while, she sent me a message saying she can not continue the friendship. I felt it was performative because I was the one always pushing for boundaries. I felt she sent it to give someone the impression that I was the one who wanted the relationship, so I called her to have a proper conversation, but she was sending voice notes. I was calling because I had a feeling that the person she was with knew me, and I needed to know if my feeling was true.
“However, Odumodublvck and I never spoke about being with the girl. But when we were together, she once told me he was simping over her and sending her flowers. I told her I didn’t want to get involved in that type of conversation. So, that earlier discussion made me feel that she was dating Odumodublvck.
“I then asked her friend, but she said no, and I tried to find out. If I had known, I would have been miles away from her. I would have asked Odumodublvck directly if we were that close. She wasn’t ready for a conversation either, so I blocked her.
“Then, in November, I ran into her, and we apologised to each other. I asked if she was dating Odumodublvck, and she confessed. I left her and left it at that.”
Blaqbonez said he refused to provide details because he did not want to interfere in their relationship, telling Odumodu: “I don’t know what she told you, so I can’t answer this question and affect anything that you guys have.”
According to Blaqbonez, Odumodu then responded, “Then we are enemies since you are not telling me. Peace out, bro.”
Blaqbonez described his relationship with the girl, saying, “I can’t say we were dating or anything. It wasn’t official, but like, the best term to describe it would be like friends with benefits, right? Because we kind of like, were friends and we were intimate.”
