A Nigerian lawyer has shared an emotional account of his life-changing encounter with the late evangelist Uma Ukpai during his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) service in Uyo in 2008.
The lawyer, who identified himself on Facebook as Taonna Nnabuife, explained that God used the renowned preacher to address a personal challenge he faced at the time.
He described the encounter as a turning point in his life, emphasizing the profound impact the evangelist had on his spiritual journey.
A Life-Changing Encounter During NYSC
The encounter, according to the lawyer, was a transformative moment where Uma Ukpai helped him overcome a particular health challenge.
“This is the end of an era. I remember in 2008 during my NYSC at Uyo, God used him to address a health challenge I had at that time,” he wrote.
Remembering the Late Evangelist
As news of Uma Ukpai’s passing spread, the lawyer joined countless others mourning the loss of the notable preacher.
In his post, he prayed for God to extend grace to the late evangelist and to grant him the strength to continue faithfully in his own Christian journey.
“Papa, I have no better tribute to pay than to ask that God will accord me a similar grace to help in running my Christian race. Man of God, Jee nke oma,” he added, expressing both gratitude and admiration for Uma Ukpai’s life and ministry.
