A man mistakenly credited ₦1 million into his Opay account has been apprehended by security operatives after refusing to refund the money.
The incident was shared by an X user, @yk-xiany, who disclosed that the incident occurred last month.

According to the X user, the company’s management offered the man ₦100,000 from the ₦1 million mistakenly credited to his account.
Despite the offer, the man insisted on not refunding the money.
Sharing how the man was caught @yk-xiany narrated, “He thought he could get away with the money but they where able to trace his recent calls to two numbers one was his mum the other his girlfriend the police traced the two numbers and were able to catch him”.
After being apprehended, it was discovered the man had used ₦300,000 to purchase a phone.
”But they where late cause he has already used 300k from the money to get a new phone now they said he will repay the money and pay for damages”, The tweet reads.
