HASKE BIYU 2025: Multi-Agency Response Drills Underscore Family’s Role in National Security

Participants in the ongoing Exercise HASKE BIYU 2025 on Friday witnessed a coordinated Multi-Agency Response to Internal Security and Low-Intensity Conflict scenarios at Camp Kabala, Kaduna. The exercise also featured cordon-and-search operations as well as checkpoint demonstrations.

Anchored on the theme “The Role of Family in National Security,” the activities were designed to highlight the importance of inter-agency collaboration and the family unit in safeguarding Nigeria’s security.

According to the organisers, “the drills showcased joint responses to simulated threats, intelligence sharing, perimeter control, systematic searches and roadblock management.”

Officials noted that the exercise was not just about military and paramilitary synergy but about drawing attention to the everyday vigilance of Nigerian families. “Security begins at home, and the family remains the first line of defence,” one facilitator said.

Exercise HASKE BIYU 2025 continues with further programmes aimed at strengthening national security through community awareness and family participation.
