‘Hardest Hits Are Yet to Come’: Marco Rubio Warns U.S. Military Action Against Iran Will Intensify

The Pentagon stated that U. S. military operations against Iran lasted for a fourth straight day, with officials reporting a series of targeted strikes on vital Iranian military infrastructure, such as command centers, air defense systems, and missile launch sites, according to a report by The Guardian on Tuesday, March 03, 2026. U. S. troops say that the operations are a vital component of a continuous effort to address the immediate danger posed by Tehran.

In an overnight update, U. S. Central Command said that during continuous operations, forces have targeted and destroyed a number of Revolutionary Guard command and control centers, Iranian air defense systems, missile and drone launch locations, as well as military airfields. The campaign will continue for as long as it takes to counter threats from the Iranian government, according to the statement.

The U. S. military reiterated its commitment to disrupt capabilities it claims could endanger American forces and regional stability by saying, “We will continue to take decisive action against imminent threats posed by the Iranian regime. ”

Marco Rubio, the U. S. Secretary of State, has cautioned that the “hardest hits” on Iran are yet to come, emphasizing that more military action is expected. Rubio also portrayed the strikes as preemptive, arguing that the United States acted to avert anticipated retaliation against American assets following anticipated Israeli actions.

As regional tensions increase, the continuing strike sequence has sparked widespread worldwide interest and worry. Neighboring nations are preparing for the possibility of spillover consequences, while Iranian officials have promised retaliation. Despite continued military activities, world leaders have called for restraint to prevent a larger conflict.

Officials have said that the campaign might continue for weeks as goals are sought, and the United States has stationed its troops in a way that allows it to maintain operations for an extended period if necessary.See_More…
