Social media activist Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has shared his side of the story regarding his physical altercation with media personality Freedom Okpetoritse Atsepoyi, also known as Mr Jollof, on a commercial flight.
In a video posted shortly after landing, VDM explained that the confrontation stemmed from weeks of heated exchanges online.
Spotting Mr Jollof on the plane, he reportedly approached him and said, “Today, you will slap me,” referencing their ongoing online feud.
VDM took to Instagram to describe the encounter, writing: “MR JOLLOF YOU B!T me, your fellow man. Haba JOLLOF WOULD HAVE KPAI ME IF I DIDN’T DEFEND MYSELF, GOD SAVED ME.”
According to VDM, the altercation escalated after Mr Jollof threw the first punch.
VDM retaliated, and the situation worsened when Mr Jollof allegedly bit him, joking that the attack nearly ruined his tattoo due to “teeth that had not been brushed.”
Passengers on the flight reportedly intervened in an attempt to separate the two men and restore order.
As of now, neither Mr Jollof nor the airline involved has released a public statement regarding the incident.
The incident has since sparked reactions across social media, with users debating the events that led to the clash and the conduct of both parties.
