GTCO Secures SEC Extension to File 2025 Audited Financial Statements by March 31

Guaranty Trust Holding Company Plc (GTCO) has announced that it has obtained regulatory approval to extend the filing deadline for its Audited Financial Statements (AFS) for the year ended December 31, 2025.

In a notice to the Nigerian Exchange Limited and the investing public on Tuesday, the company disclosed that its Board of Directors approved the 2025 audited results on January 27, 2026.

However, other requisite regulatory approvals required for publication before the March 1, 2026 deadline are yet to be received.

As a result, the Securities and Exchange Commission has granted GTCO an extension to file the results on or before March 31, 2026, subject to the company obtaining all outstanding approvals.

The financial services group assured shareholders and market participants that the audited financial statements will be released immediately after all necessary regulatory clearances are secured.

The extension provides the company additional time to complete compliance procedures while maintaining alignment with capital market regulations.

Listed companies are typically required to publish audited full-year results within 60 days of the financial year-end, in accordance with exchange rules, unless a formal extension is granted by the regulator.

GTCO, one of Nigeria’s leading financial holding companies, operates across banking, payments, asset management, and pension management businesses within and outside Nigeria.

The market is expected to closely monitor the eventual release of the 2025 audited figures for insights into earnings performance, asset growth, capital adequacy, and dividend outlook.

The company’s board is chaired by H. A. Oyinlola, while J. K. Agbaje serves as the Group Chief Executive Officer.

For further enquiries, the company directed stakeholders to its Group Corporate Communication unit.

The extension notice was signed by Erhi Obebeduo, Group General Counsel and Company Secretary.

Investors will now look ahead to the revised March 31 deadline for the publication of the 2025 audited financial statements.
