Nigerian Grammy winner, Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, has stated that no politician in Nigeria has ever given him anything.
He made this statement in a post on Twitter (X) on Thursday, 1st of August while being dragged over his comment on the nationwide protest.
Burna Boy hinted that the former Governor of Rivers state, Nyesom Wike didn’t fulfill his monetary promise to him after he won the Grammy with Twice As Tall album in 2021.
Recall that Wike invited him to Port Harcourt, Rivers state had in December 2021 and offered to give a plot of land and N10 million to Burna Boy for making the state proud with the Grammy win.
In his Twitter post, the self acclaimed African Giant urged people to ask the ex-governor if he gave him anything. He also gave the impression that he is different from some of his superstar colleagues, who collect money from politicians.
Burna Boy wrote on Twitter: “No politician has ever given anything. Go ask wike where the land him give me or which money him give me. You think I’m your faves.”
