He noted that she had served at the Mafa Primary Healthcare Centre for more than 24 years without ever abandoning her duty post, even during the peak of insecurity.

The governor revealed that while many residents fled Mafa during the height of the crisis, Mrs.

Duaka chose to remain, continuing to provide healthcare to locals. “She has been working here for over 24 years and has never left Mafa for a single month.

During the Boko Haram crisis, most people fled, but she stayed throughout despite being a non-indigene,” Zulum said.

He added that Mrs. Duaka’s service had personally touched his family, stating, “She has treated most of my family members, including my mother.”

In addition to the house, Governor Zulum announced an automatic employment offer for Mrs. Duaka’s son, Anthony, a graduate of Banking and Finance, at Kashim Ibrahim University, Maiduguri, recognizing the family’s contribution and sacrifice to the state.
