“God Will Shock You” — Isaac Fayose Slams Wike Over Osun Election Remarks

Nigerian businessman and social commentator Prince Isaac Fayose has criticised FCT Minister Nyesom Wike over his comments concerning the recently concluded Osun State governorship election.

Wike had claimed that the Federal Government did not use its influence against Governor Ademola Adeleke during the election, arguing that President Bola Tinubu allowed the people of Osun State to freely choose their leader.

Wike further stated that if President Tinubu had wanted the All Progressives Congress (APC) to win, he would have personally travelled to Osun during the election.

Reacting in a video shared on Facebook, Fayose questioned the implication of Wike’s remarks, arguing that the people of Osun had already made up their minds before going to the polls.

Fayose said Osun voters should not be compared with voters in Rivers State, where Wike previously served as governor. He accused Wike of suggesting that political influence could be used to alter the will of voters.

He said:

> “Osun people are not Rivers. Osun people made up their minds, and one thousand of you cannot change it.”

Fayose also criticised Wike’s political record and recalled that he was once considered as a potential running mate to former presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar.

His comments add to the growing political reactions surrounding Wike’s remarks about the Osun election and the role of federal influence in elections.
