Lady causes a stir online as she shares a video capturing the long queue at a gas station amid scarcity.
It would be recalled that families across Nigerians have lamented over the recent hike in gas price following a shortage of gas ravaging the country, with families buying gas for as much as 25,000 Naira for a 12 KG of gas.

Cause of gas scarcity
Nigeria is currently facing a widespread cooking gas (LPG) shortage that’s driving up prices sharply in major cities like Lagos, Abuja, and Ibadan. A 12.5kg cylinder now costs about N25,000, up from roughly N17,500 just last week. In many areas, gas has surged to between N2,500–N3,200 per kg.
The scarcity results largely from a recent strike by PENGASSAN, which disrupted supply and distribution, while some vendors have run out of stock entirely, leaving households scrambling to cope.
The scarcity three-day strike by oil workers had disrupted gas supply and distribution across the country.
Lady shares her experience
A lady who recently visited a gas station shared her experience at the location.
Apparently, multitudes of folks came out to fill their gas, causing a long queue.
From the video she shared, there appeared to be many individuals waiting with their gas cylinders to be attended to.
The lady wondered whether she shouldn’t have just come out with her mattress to lie and wait her turn.
“I suppose carry mattress as I dey commot house,” she captioned.
Mixed reactions have followed
Some netizens have wondered why so many people had come out all at once to fill gas, while others blame the government for the hike.
