The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has called on motorists to obey traffic rules and regulations to stem road crashes during the festive season.

Mr Nasir Mohammed, FRSC Corridor Commander in-charge of Sagamu-Ore-Benin Expressway, made the call during an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Tuesday in Ota.

According to him, obeying traffic rules and sustaining compliance remains critical to saving lives and guaranteeing safer highways during the festive season.

Mohammed advised motorists against wrongful overtaking and dangerous driving to reduce tragedies during the Yuletide.

“Motorists are strongly advised to obey traffic rules, avoid overloading, and sustain compliance. This remains critical to reducing mishaps and avoidable crashes.

“They should also cooperate with FRSC officers and other traffic agencies on duty, so as to guarantee safer highways and get to their destinations safely,” he said.

He cautioned against night travels, overloading and speeding, saying that they could lead to road crashes during the Yuletide.

Mohammed reiterated the FRSC’s commitment to ensuring that the motoring public arrived their destinations safely without hitches. (NAN)(www.nannews.ng)
