The CEO of Kris Electronics Store has shared his remarkable journey from serving as an Nwaboy to building one of the fastest-growing electronics businesses in Lagos.
In a post on his Instagram page, the entrepreneur revealed that his story began in 2009 when he left home to serve his uncle in Lagos, who was into the electronics trade.
He worked there until 2013 before moving on to other ventures, including a stint at a construction site in Abuja and an attempt at learning the motor spare parts business in Gudu market. However, his passion for electronics kept calling him back.
Returning to passion
By 2015, he returned to Lagos to serve another boss in the electronics business, a decision that laid the foundation for his future. After years of dedication, he finally got settled in August 2022 and relocated to Ajah to open his first store.
Struggles and near-giving up
The early days were tough, as his shop lacked stock and sales were slow. “I would come to the shop for a whole day and wouldn’t make a single sale. I was frustrated and almost felt like giving up, but I kept trusting the process,” he wrote.
Breakthrough and expansion
Gradually, things began to turn around. Sales picked up, customers, including popular personalities, began to patronise him, and his brand started to grow.
By 2024, Kris Electronics launched its second branch at Addo Road, Ajah, and became a major distributor of Hisense and LG products, handling bulk deliveries to estate developers.
Celebrating three years of growth
Now, exactly three years since opening his first outlet, the CEO is celebrating the launch of his third showroom. Reflecting on the journey, he attributed his success to consistency, resilience, and faith.
“Dear business owners, do not despise the days of your little beginning. May God continue to bless the hustle of every business owner out there,” he encouraged.
