Fresh details have emerged about the tragic death of a United Capital staff member, Kehinde Adeoye, in the fire incident that engulfed Afriland Towers in Lagos.
Boluwatife, a close friend of the deceased, has revealed her final moments, painting a heartbreaking picture of her struggle before passing away.

According to the account, the victim remained conscious for several hours after being trapped in the building.
She reportedly reached out for help while smoke filled the space, battling to breathe until her strength gave way. It was noted that smoke inhalation, not burns, ultimately claimed her life.
Kenny’s final words
In her last words to her husband, she pleaded for their children to be taken care of, expressing deep concern for her family even as she faced the end.
The friend lamented that her death could have been avoided, blaming systemic failures in emergency response and safety standards in Nigeria.
