Transformation Haven Caring Hearts Foundation (THCHF) has expressed interest in partnering with the African Newspapers of Nigeria (ANN) PLC, (publishers of the Tribune titles) to publicise its programmes and reach more vulnerable people across communities.
The foundation stated this during a visit to ANN PLC in Ibadan on Tuesday by a delegation comprising Mr Mobolaji Akinwunmi, Mr Alabi Kayode, Mr Olaniyi Joseph, Miss Obuseh Kelechi Gift, Miss Bubu Oghenetega and Segun Adeeko.
Speaking during the visit, Akinwunmi said the foundation had been working to support vulnerable people through various interventions.
“We have been trying to help and empower vulnerable people at every corner, wherever we think that we can reach,” Akinwunmi said.
He said the foundation’s activities included clothing drives and support for children, among other initiatives.
“We do clothes drives. We do to ensure that kids get the athletic moment around the seasons,” he said.
According to Akinwunmi, the foundation also provides clothing and other items to people in need during the festive season.
“We bring clothes. We should use them for that Christmas,” he said.
Akinwunmi said the foundation was interested in expanding its activities and reaching more people through partnerships.
“We want to ensure we come to that level. So it’s very important,” he said.
He also expressed the foundation’s interest in working with ANN PLC to promote its programmes and activities.
Responding, the Deputy Editor of ANN PLC, Kunle Oderemi, said the organisation could use the newspaper’s digital platforms to reach a wider audience.
Oderemi said the newspaper offered sponsored posts, advertising, event coverage and live-streaming services, which could be used to promote the foundation’s programmes.
“Everything you want to know, maybe more about us, what you know about us, those kind of things, we put it online,” he said.
He also said the newspaper could provide coverage for the foundation’s events.

“For your events, we can always write the stories and everything and put it online,” Oderemi said.
On live coverage, he said, “There’s also the part of live streaming. So for your event and everything, we also do that. So we can do that, then put it on our socials too.”
The delegation asked whether the proposed relationship could include regular publicity and collaboration on the foundation’s programmes.
Oderemi said such arrangements could be discussed, adding that the foundation could also use sponsored content and advertising to promote its activities.
The two sides also discussed the possibility of media coverage for the foundation’s events, including skills acquisition programmes and other community-based activities.
As part of the proposed collaboration, the foundation also indicated plans for an outreach programme at Ile Akede on December 5, which it said would provide an opportunity to reach and support members of the community.
The foundation invited representatives of ANN PLC to attend the December 5 outreach and other forthcoming activities as part of the proposed partnership.
The visit ended with discussions on further areas of collaboration between the foundation and ANN PLC.
