The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has confirmed that Malam Nasiru El-Rufai, former Governor of Kaduna State, is currently in its custody.
In a statement, the Head of Media and Public Communications of the ICPC, J. Okor Odey, disclosed,“Malam Nasiru El-Rufai is in the custody of the Commission as at close of work today, Wednesday, February 18, 2026. He is in our custody in connection with ongoing investigations.”
Mr. Odey stated that the ICPC is following due process in the matter and that all actions are in line with the legal mandate of the Commission to investigate corrupt practices and related offences.
