Former Aviation Minister Praises Retired FRSC Deputy Commander For Integrity, Service

By Abubakar Yunusa Ojima-ojo

Former Corps Marshal and ex-Minister of Aviation, Osita Chidoka, has lauded the retired Deputy Corps Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Abdullahi Sani, for his integrity, humility, and loyalty.

Chidoka made the remarks on Saturday via his Facebook page, noting that he would not hesitate to recommend Sani to the Kogi State government or any other institution.

“He possesses Uche (knowledge), Uchu (hard work) and EgwuChukwu (high moral conduct),” Chidoka wrote.

Sani recently retired on Sunday, 7 December 2025, after 35 years of service with the FRSC.

Chidoka recounted his first encounter with Sani in 2007, when he was Corps Marshal. A letter from Sani immediately drew his attention due to its clarity and confident tone.

“His physical appearance did not quite match the elegance of the prose, but within minutes of our conversation, his intellect, composure, and confidence were unmistakable,” Chidoka said.

Sani served as Chidoka’s Staff Officer, Media, and continued to excel in similar roles under subsequent Corps Marshals. Chidoka, later as Minister of Aviation, often relied on Sani to craft major speeches.

Beyond professional duties, Sani kept Chidoka informed about his children’s achievements, earning the ex-Minister’s personal admiration.

Chidoka also visited Sani at his Lekki command last year, describing the office as orderly and professional, with high staff morale.

“He was one of my great human-resource revelations in the public sector,” Chidoka added. “Every state in Nigeria has outstanding talent; what often differs is opportunity.”

He wished Sani a fulfilling retirement and expressed confidence that the retired officer would continue to contribute to society.

“Who knows, he may yet become an Athena Fellow,” Chidoka said.
