The Federal Housing Authority (FHA) has joined the global Customer Service Week celebration for the first time in decades, as part of efforts to strengthen confidence among its staff and customers.
The five-day event, which began on Monday, October 6 and will end on Friday, October 10, 2025, is being held under the leadership of the Managing Director, Hon. Oyetunde Ojo.
Ojo said the Authority would continue to align with both local and international engagements that promote quality service delivery, workers’ welfare, and customer satisfaction.
He noted that the FHA had mobilised human and material resources to ensure that staff and clients receive the attention they deserve.
“This new FHA will prioritise service excellence and workers’ motivation to guarantee better housing delivery and customer trust,” he said.
As part of the weeklong activities, an “Excellence Award” will be presented to outstanding staff on Friday, to recognise and reward dedication and professionalism.
The Deputy General Manager, Servicom and Anti-Corruption Unit, Mrs Ebere Alalibo, said the maiden award would inspire employees to improve service delivery and uphold the Authority’s values.
She added that the recognition was aimed at motivating both staff and customers to remain committed to excellence.
In addition, the Head of Servicom Nigeria is expected to present a paper on selfless national service, urging public servants to deliver quality service without bias or discrimination.
Speaking on the development, the Head of Public Affairs of the FHA, Mr Kenneth Chigelu, applauded the management for embracing reforms, including full digitisation of operations and the establishment of service laboratories to enhance efficiency.
He noted that since Ojo assumed office, the FHA had regained both national relevance and international recognition within a short period.
Chigelu urged customers and workers to support the management’s ongoing transformation drive, stressing that the celebration marks “a new dawn” for the Authority.
The week’s highlights include interactive sessions, interviews, departmental exhibitions, pictorials, and awards presentations, all aimed at promoting a culture of service excellence across the organisation.
