The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has announced the arrest of several criminal suspects involved in armed robbery, drug trafficking, and vehicle theft in various parts of Abuja.
A statement issued on Sunday by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, said the coordinated intelligence-led operations were carried out by the Command’s Scorpion Squad, Kubwa Division, Life Camp Division, and Mabushi Division between 9 and 18 October 2025.
The suspects arrested include Manaseh Emmanuel (36), Dogora Ibrahim (21), and Ibrahim Idamusa (40), all linked to a notorious robbery gang led by Ibrahim Yakubu, a.k.a “Ycome”, who is currently remanded at Kuje Correctional Centre.
Life Camp Division also arrested Umar Abubakar, Iliyasu Ibrahim, Usman Ibrahim, and Alkasim Abubakar, members of a ten-man armed robbery syndicate responsible for violent robberies in Kubwa, Life Camp, and Mpape.
Similarly, Mabushi Division apprehended Bello Mohd Tambuwal for stealing a 2019 Toyota Corolla, while one Paul Onogwu was caught with 15 bags of dried leaves suspected to be Cannabis Sativa.
Recovered exhibits include three vehicles — a Toyota Land Cruiser, a black Toyota Corolla (Chassis No: JTNK4RBE1K3054902), and a Toyota Camry (Reg No: KRD 391 JF) — alongside weapons such as a cutlass, sword, and jackknife.
CP Dantawaye Miller commended the officers and men involved, charging divisional heads to intensify operations and maintain the current momentum in ridding the FCT of criminal elements.
He urged residents to report suspicious movements or persons to the police through emergency lines: 08061581938, 08032003913, and CRU: 08107314192.
