“Everything I warned Nigerians about in 2023 has happened” – VeryDarkMan slams Tinubu’s administration

Controversial Nigerian social media activist VeryDarkMan has taken aim at the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, criticising the government over its handling of the economy and public policies.

In a viral Instagram video shared on his page, the activist claimed that many of the warnings he gave Nigerians during the 2023 election period have now come true.

“As you can see, since 2023, I have been shouting this, and everything I said has happened. At that time, the dollar hadn’t even reached ₦1,000. Now imagine where President Bola Tinubu picked everybody from and where we are today,” he said.

VeryDarkMan also slammed the government’s decision to remove fuel subsidies, arguing that the policy was originally justified as a way to improve sectors like healthcare and education.

He pointed out that the promised improvements in public institutions have yet to materialise, highlighting struggling public hospitals, challenges in the education sector, and reports of Nigerian students facing difficulties in diaspora.

“This subsidy they removed, they said the money would improve our education sector and healthcare. But look at it today.

Doctors went on strike, public hospitals have failed, and our schools are still struggling. Everything they said they removed that money for has fallen. So where is the subsidy money?” he added.

The activist concluded by saying that a leader should only be re-elected if they deliver good governance and ease of living for their citizens.
