Senator Okey Ezea, representing Enugu North Senatorial District in Enugu State, has died.
Ezea, who was elected on the platform of the Labour Party, was the only remaining LP lawmaker from Enugu State in the National Assembly.
According to DAILY POST findings, the senator passed away on Tuesday in the United Kingdom, where he was receiving medical treatment. He had reportedly undergone earlier treatment in Germany before being transferred to the UK.
The news of his death was first shared by popular on-air personality ‘Senator’ Chijinkem Ugwuanyi, who posted a brief announcement on Facebook: “Sad News. Senator Okey Ezea, representing Enugu North, is dead… Rest in Peace.”
While details surrounding his death remain unclear, tributes and reactions have continued to pour in across social media platforms.
