Emir Sulu-Gambari hosts CP Lateef Oganija, pledges support security agencies

The Emir of Ilorin and Chairman of the Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council , Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, has reaffirmed his commitment to supporting security agencies in Nigeria.

Alhaji Sulu-Gambari stated this today when he received the newly promoted Ilorin-born Police officer to Commissioner of Police, Lateef Yusuf Oganija to receive the royal blessings in his palace.

The Emir emphasized the need for collaboration between the police and local communities to tackle the country’s security challenges.

During the visit at the palace, the Chief Imam of Ilorin, Sheikh Muhammad Bashir Imam Soliu, offered prayers for guidance and protection for the newly promoted officer.

In his response, the new Commissioner of Police, Lateef Yusuf Oganija thanked the Emir for his fatherly role and his continuous prayers for the progress of the emirate’s sons and daughters.

The officer’s wife, Hajia Yusuf Oganija, also expressed her gratitude to the people of Ilorin for their support of her husband throughout his career.
