Edo: After Obi Was Unable To Get The Endorsement, Rotimi Amaechi Came & Got The Endorsement –Tenebe

In a recent interview with TVC News, Jarrett Tenebe, the Edo State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), addressed the ongoing controversy surrounding a disruption involving members of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Edo State, including former presidential candidate Peter Obi.

During the discussion, Tenebe dismissed claims linking the APC to the incident, asserting that the conflict originated from internal disputes within the ADC. He remarked, “Edo: After Obi was unable to get the endorsement, Rotimi Amaechi came and got the endorsement,” suggesting that turmoil arose after Obi’s unsuccessful attempt to gain support from influential regional stakeholders during his visit to the state. The situation reportedly worsened when Amaechi later secured the support from the same faction, further fracturing the opposition.

Tenebe contended that this discord highlighted existing leadership rivalries within the ADC, while he stated that the ruling APC in Edo had no vested interest in meddling with another party’s challenges. He reiterated that the APC is concentrating on strengthening its organizational structure and broadening its base ahead of the upcoming elections.

Moreover, the APC chairman urged law enforcement agencies to conduct a thorough investigation into the incident, ensuring accountability where it is warranted. He underscored the necessity for peaceful political discourse in Edo, stressing the importance of stability in the state notwithstanding the escalating political activities.See_More…
