Drama as Oloro chases Carter Efe out of his house

Nigerian skit maker and singer, Carter Efe, has cried out online after being sent packing from the house of his colleague, Oloro.

In a viral post, Carter accused fellow comedians, Salo and Sparkoo, of plotting against him and turning Oloro against him.

He claimed that despite all he did for the household, including renovating the building with his own money, he was still kicked out without warning.

Carter described the incident as a painful betrayal, especially coming from people he once called friends.

Oloro has finally chased me out of his house. Salo and Sparkoo went behind my back and badmouthed me to him, after everything I did, even renovating that house,” he lamented.

Fans react, fault Carter’s poor decision

Following his revelation, social media users flooded the comment section with mixed opinions. Many sympathised with him, while others blamed him for investing in a property that didn’t belong to him.

Some users argued that his generosity was misplaced, saying true independence begins with owning one’s space. One fan wrote, “Imagine spending money to upgrade a house that will later eject you; Lagos friendship is not friendship, it’s temporary tenancy.”

Others mocked the situation, insisting that no matter how close friendships seem, property ownership defines true freedom.

Industry lessons and accountability talk

The incident has sparked broader discussions about financial discipline among entertainers.

Critics questioned why Carter, who has been in the industry for over five years, still relied on others for accommodation.

They suggested the experience should serve as a wake-up call to prioritise stability over appearances. Some noted that despite Carter’s previous success with songs like Machala and Oyimo, he may have struggled with long-term financial planning.

A few others, however, speculated the video could be part of a skit, given how dramatic it appeared.
