A dramatic scene plays out in Katsina as a man climbs a building to express his outrage after his in-laws took his wife away.
Man mounts fence to express rage
The scene played out in the Sabuwar Kofa area of Katsina State on Sunday when a yet-to-be-identified man climbed an uncompleted building and refused to come down after his in-laws allegedly took his wife away.
According to a local Katsina publication, the man insisted he would only descend if his wife was returned to him.
A viral video shared on Facebook captured the man perched on the edge of the building while residents and passersby pleaded with him to come down.
Man refuses to come down
Efforts by some individuals to rescue him were unsuccessful as he continued to resist, demanding the return of his wife.
Although, the reason why his in laws had taken his wife away wasn’t revealed.
Authorities have yet to release an official statement regarding the incident.
