Dr. Daniel Olukoya Reveals How Believers Can Choose Friends Wisely

Dr. Daniel Olukoya, General Overseer of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries, has shared insights on how believers can wisely select their friends.

Delivering a sermon via YouTube, Olukoya emphasized that friendships are not merely social connections but spiritual alliances capable of influencing destiny.

He stated that because everyone cannot be a true friend, believers must intentionally choose companions with prayerful discernment. “You should choose your friend wisely using divine guidance and heavenly information,” he said.

According to Olukoya, the kind of friends a person keeps can determine both earthly achievements and eternal outcomes.

He explained that friends influence thoughts, emotions, behavior, and spiritual direction. For this reason, he urged Christians to seek divine direction before forming deep relationships.

Drawing from Proverbs 17:17, he reiterated that a genuine friend loves consistently and stands firm during adversity. Such individuals, he said, are blessings from God. However, he cautioned that not all who appear friendly carry good intentions.

Referencing the biblical account of Samson, Olukoya described how a lack of discernment led to tragedy. Samson’s relationship with Delilah, he noted, resulted in betrayal, captivity, and the premature end of his ministry. The lesson, he explained, is that destiny can be compromised by misplaced trust.

Olukoya warned that modern-day equivalents of Delilah and Judas still exist, underscoring the need for vigilance. He encouraged believers to rely on prayer, spiritual sensitivity, and scriptural principles when evaluating friendships.

By using divine guidance and what he termed “heavenly information,” Christians can avoid harmful associations and align themselves with individuals who support their spiritual growth.

Olukoya concluded that wise friendship choices are essential for fulfilling God’s purpose and maintaining a victorious Christian life.See_More…
