Senator Patrick Abba Moro, the Senate Minority Leader representing Benue South, is in mourning after the sudden deaths of his son and grandson within just two days.
Victor Peter Moro, Senator Moro’s son, had recently completed his studies in Turkey and returned to Nigeria to participate in the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC). Tragically, he died in a fatal motor accident along the Mararaba axis in Nasarawa State on October 19, 2025.
This devastating incident occurred just a day after the burial of his 10-year-old nephew, Aba Moro Jr., Senator Moro’s grandson. Victor was reportedly traveling from the family home to attend to personal matters when the accident happened.
The sudden and consecutive deaths have deeply affected the Moro family and the Benue South Senatorial District, leaving friends, colleagues, and constituents in shock.
Former Benue State Governor Samuel Ortom expressed his condolences, describing the incidents as a “heartbreaking double tragedy” and offering prayers for strength and comfort to the Moro family.
