A conversation recently went viral online after a local man reconciled with a Fulani herdsman he had chased away during their first encounter.
“Don’t be angry. We’re friends”
The man approached the herdsman, saying:
“Welldone o. I saw you three days ago when you passed by my window at night when I chased you away. Don’t be angry please. I’m not a troublesome person. Don’t be angry. We’re friends o.”
The Fulani man who said his name is Aliu responded that he’s from Kano and that he didn’t take it to heart because he knew that he didn’t know him.
Social media reactions:
The exchange between the man and Aliu has captured the attention of Nigerians online, with many applauding their ability to resolve tension peacefully noting that the local man must have been scared due to the rise in insecurity around the country.
@Omowunmi_omoleke: “But why them no fit do cow for their place? They have a lot of empty lands that they can use for whatever they want.”

@Tess_idowu: “How do they always manage to learn the languages of whatever community they enter? I mean they come in and after a few months they are conversing with you in your own language.”
