British YouTuber and BMX rider Ryan Taylor has opened up about his short-lived engagement to Nigerian disc jockey and billionaire heiress, Florence Otedola, popularly known as DJ Cuppy.
Speaking on the Ladders Podcast, the 32-year-old influencer reflected on their whirlwind romance, explaining why the relationship ended just months after their engagement.
Taylor, who proposed to Cuppy in December 2022 barely a month after they met during the Gumball 3000 rally, said differences in values and outlook contributed to their split.
“Is it weird that I told you she didn’t like Nigerians? She came into my business and didn’t even want Nigerian staff,” Taylor claimed during the interview.
He explained that the relationship had no legal agreements such as contracts or non-disclosure deals and that he left the relationship with only valuable lessons.
“To be honest, what I got from that was lessons. Everything that happens, happens for a reason. But do I regret it? No. Lesson learned. Next!” he said.
Taylor added, “I learned that money is not everything, but not having it is.”
The couple’s engagement had sparked widespread excitement among fans in late 2022, but by mid-2023, speculation of a breakup surfaced after they unfollowed each other on social media.
