DHQ Approves Earth Observation Centres as Defence Communication Chief Visits OPHK

The Defence Headquarters has approved the establishment of modular earth observation centres across all theatres of operation, the Chief of Defence Communication, Major General Edore Agbebaku, has said.

According to a statement by the Media Information Officer, Joint Task Force North East Operation HADIN KAI, Lieutenant Colonel Sani Uba, Agbebaku made this known during his operational assessment visit to OPHK Headquarters in Maiduguri, Borno State.

Lt Col Uba stated that the visit was aimed at strengthening joint operational communication and improving information flow within the Armed Forces’ command-and-control framework.

“He noted that the visit was also meant to assess existing technical communication infrastructure and deepen collaboration with field commanders,” the statement read.

Speaking on joint communication, Agbebaku said, “Advocating for joint communication practice in the Armed Forces is a top priority.”

The Theatre Commander, Major General Abdulsalam Abubakar, thanked the CDC for the visit, stressing that communication remains the backbone of military operations.
