A Nigerian UK-based woman has made headlines over a video of her instructing her daughter to kneel down.
This was captured in a now-viral video shared on Sabi Radio’s Instagram account.
Mother Orders Daughter To kneel
The viral video shows the moment the woman’s daughter, identified as Grace, was ordered to kneel down, to which she responded stating, “I can’t kneel down for this little thing. Why should I go and bring my book? Tomorrow, I can read my book.”
The exchange took a dramatic turn after Grace’s mother inquired, “So, reading books now is a little thing?.You’re making me repeat myself over and over again”.
Insisting on her stance, a lady who urged her to kneel and leaves the scene.
Eventually, Grace kneels down, while her mother instructs her to raise her hands and close her eyes, stating that she would remain in the position till dinner.
“What are you saying?. For disobeying me, raise your two hands up. Close your eyes. You will remain there till dinner time”, She stated.
However, Grace wasn’t pleased with the verdict, but still adhered to her mother’s instruction.
Meanwhile, the post’s comment section has been flooded with mixed reactions, with online users stressing the need for African culture to be instilled to children at a tender age.
