Court to sentence man for damage to burglar proof Oct. 13

An Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court, Ibadan on Friday fixed Oct. 13 for the sentencing of one Dominic Awuhe, 24, who pleaded guilty to maliciously damaging a house burglar proof.

An Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court, Ibadan on Friday fixed Oct. 13 for the sentencing of one Dominic Awuhe, 24, who pleaded guilty to maliciously damaging a house burglar proof.

Awuhe, whose address was not provided, was charged with house breaking and malicious damage to a house burglar proof in Moniya area of Ibadan.

The Magistrate, Mrs Olasinmibo Sanusi-Zubair, also ordered that Awuhe should be remanded at Agodi correctional facility for review of facts of the case and sentencing.

The Prosecutor, Insp Olagoke Adegbenro, told the court that the defendant committed the offence on Oct. 7, at about 9.00 a.m, at Moniya, Ibadan.

Adegbenro said that the house burglar proof belonging to one Joseph Akinpade was worth N250,000.

He said the offence contravened Sections 413 and 451 of the Criminal Laws of Oyo State, 2000. (NAN)
