Coronation Asset Management Limited has launched the Series II issuance of up to N20 billion under its N200 billion Coronation Infrastructure Fund Shelf Programme, expanding access to long-term infrastructure investments for qualified investors while helping to mobilise private capital for critical projects across Nigeria.
The offer, which follows regulatory approval from the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), builds on the success of the fund’s inaugural issuance and provides investors with access to a diversified portfolio of infrastructure debt opportunities designed to deliver attractive long-term risk-adjusted returns while supporting the development of essential infrastructure assets.
Infrastructure remains a critical driver of economic growth, underpinning business productivity, improving connectivity and expanding access to essential services. Registered by the SEC as a 99-year closed-end Infrastructure Fund, Coronation Infrastructure Fund invests in a diversified portfolio of infrastructure debt opportunities across telecommunications, transport, energy, utilities, social infrastructure, and real estate, targeting projects, companies and Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs) with resilient cash flows and strong credit fundamentals. Net proceeds from the Series II Offer will be deployed in line with the Fund’s investment objectives and policies.
Since its launch in September 2023, the Fund has raised N8.79 billion in net subscriptions through its Series I issuance, delivered a 23.27 percent net return in 2025, distributed N3.31 billion to unit holders through consistent semi-annual distributions, and successfully listed on the Nigerian Exchange (NGX), where the unit price has appreciated from N100.00 to N154.30 as at July 31, 2026. Approximately 93 percent of net subscriptions under Series I, have been deployed across eligible infrastructure projects spanning the transportation, energy, social infrastructure and real estate sectors.
In addition, the Fund has secured pipeline investment commitments of N11.7 billion across targeted infrastructure sectors, to be deployed upon the completion of the Series II Offer. This disciplined approach to capital deployment provides a strong foundation for the Series II Offer and demonstrates the Fund’s ability to identify, structure and manage quality infrastructure investments.
Speaking on the launch, Aigbovbioise Aig-Imoukhuede, managing director/chief executive officer of Coronation Asset Management Limited, said, “The opening of the Series II Offer marks another important milestone in our commitment to mobilising long-term private capital for infrastructure investment.
The success of our inaugural issuance demonstrated strong investor confidence in the Fund’s investment strategy and reaffirmed the growing demand for professionally managed infrastructure investment opportunities. Through Series II, we are expanding access to investments that seek competitive long-term risk-adjusted returns while directing capital towards infrastructure assets that support productivity, connectivity and long-term economic growth.”
Also speaking, Mayowa Ikotun, head, Coronation Infrastructure Fund, said, “Infrastructure investment requires patient capital, disciplined credit underwriting and a deep understanding of the underlying assets. Through Series II, we will continue to build a diversified portfolio of infrastructure debt investments across resilient sectors, maintaining our disciplined investment approach while supporting infrastructure businesses and projects with sustainable cash flows and strong credit fundamentals.”
The Series II Offer is open to qualified investors, including Pension Fund Administrators (subject to applicable PenCom investment limits), asset managers, insurance companies, multilateral and international financial institutions, High-Net-Worth Individuals and other eligible institutional investors.
The Offer has a 10-year tenor, with a minimum subscription of 100,000 units and additional investments in multiples of 50,000 units thereafter. It targets a minimum return of 300 basis points above the prevailing yield on the comparable 10-year Federal Government of Nigeria Bond, subject to market conditions and the performance of the underlying investments.
Coronation Asset Management Limited is rated A(IM) by Agusto & Co. and A by Global Credit Rating Company (GCR). In 2026, the Fund Manager was recognised by Euromoney as Nigeria’s Best Investment Manager for Private Credit, reinforcing its expertise in private credit investment management and infrastructure financing.
The opening and closing dates of the Series II Offer, together with the applicable subscription process, are set out in the Offer Memorandum.
